Off SR 77, then 13 miles east on a paved and gravel road, the canyon is within the 4,044-acre Aravaipa Canyon Primitive Area. Permits are required to enter the area; contact the Bureau of Land Management's District Office in Safford; phone (928) 348-4400. Visitation to the area is limited; reservations are required.
