Santa Monica Place, an open-air shopping center with al fresco rooftop dining, has 140 establishments anchored by Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom. A festive atmosphere prevails at the Farmers Market every Wednesday at Arizona Avenue and 2nd Street, and on Saturdays at Arizona Avenue and 3rd Street, where shoppers can buy produce and plants; phone (310) 458-8712. Main Street, Montana Avenue and the Third Street Promenade all have concentrations of retail outlets good for browsing.
