Canaveral National Seashore

Swimming, boating, surf fishing and ranger-led activities can be enjoyed at Playalinda Beach at the southern tip of the seashore and at Apollo Beach at the area's northern end. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge adjoins the national seashore. The Apollo Visitor Center at 7611 S. Atlantic Ave. in New Smyrna Beach is open daily 9-5; phone (386) 428-3384.

The seashore is open daily 6 a.m.-8 p.m., late Apr.-late Oct.; 6-6, rest of year. Admission $20 (per private vehicle); $15 (per motorcycle); $10 (per person arriving on foot or by bicycle).
