Pompano Beach

In December one of the longest-running holiday boat parades in the nation delights thousands of spectators along the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway. Dozens of illuminated yachts and smaller boats compete for prizes in several categories during the Greater Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade .

Horse racing takes place at Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park, west of I-95 on Powerline Road (Race Track Road/S.W. 3rd St.), early October through late May or early June; phone (954) 972-2000.

Pompano Citi Centre, 1 Pompano Sq. at the corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road, counts JCPenney, Lowe's and Ross among its retailers. Festival Flea Market Mall, 2900 W. Sample Rd., offers a farmers market and more than 300 vendors selling bargains daily.
