Henderson
Held in mid- or late April, the Henderson Heritage Parade and Festival offers live entertainment, ethnic food booths, dance, a parade and a car show.
The 35-mile-long River Mountains Loop Trail connects Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the Hoover Dam, Henderson and Boulder City. Hikers, bicyclists and horseback riders are treated to views of Lake Mead, Las Vegas and the River Mountains; wildlife spottings include bighorn sheep and desert tortoises.
