On the campus of Delaware Valley University at 700 E. Butler Ave. is the 60-acre Henry Schmieder Arboretum . The site, which is a nice place for picnics, is open daily dawn to dusk except for major holidays. Visitors should obtain a self-guiding tour map at the welcome center; phone (215) 489-2283. The best time to visit is late afternoons and weekends because there is less student activity.
