Greensburg
In the early 1900s, Greensburg joined dozens of other small towns linked across the nation by the newly created Lincoln Highway. Known today as US 30, its heritage sites across the state are commemorated by the Lincoln Highway Roadside Museum. This 200-mile corridor features historic buildings, architectural oddities, exhibits and nostalgic murals. The Five Star Trail, which is along the Southwestern Pennsylvania Railroad corridor and accommodates walkers, bikers and cross-country skiers, begins at Lynch Field and continues 6 miles south to Hillis Street in Youngwood. Just before the southern terminus, the trail branches east at Depot Street and continues about 1.5 miles to connect with Westmoreland County Community College and then to Armburst.
