Murrells Inlet

The .5-mile-long boardwalk is the perfect place from which to admire a stunning Carolina sunset.
Boat owners show their patriotism by decorating their vessels for the Murrells Inlet 4th of July Boat Parade and Fireworks Display . Spectators view these decked-out crafts as they promenade along the salt marshes past such points as the Marsh Walk and Crazy Sister Marina. This themed procession starts in the morning, and fireworks light up the sky after dark.
Shopping
Inlet Square Mall , at the junction of US 17 bypass and US 17 Bus. Rte., includes Belk and Stein Mart. At the Lazy Gator , a gift shop on US 17, you can pick up souvenirs running the gamut from sea shells and homemade fudge to nautical items, apparel and home decor.
Nightlife
The Marsh Walk is nightlife central in Murrells Inlet—while the wooden boardwalk meanders past the tidal creek, the opposite side beckons passersby with an array of bars and restaurants, many of which are family friendly. And several of the establishments on the walk have docking available for boating patrons.You can listen to local acts at Dead Dog Saloon on the waterfront, and if you feel like dancing, just head to the back patio bar. You can also relax in the resident hammock, supported by a huge live oak tree protruding from the deck’s center.
You’ll likely be drawn in by the cute, vibrantly painted Bubba’s Love Shak . Its haphazard design and colorful hanging lights scream “fun,” and it is. Bubba’s presents live music most nights, including reggae on Sundays. Nab a spot on the heated enclosed deck, or sit outside and watch the parade go by. At Creek Ratz , just a stone’s throw away, happy hour specials satisfy those content to gaze at the water and watch the fishing boats arrive. Plus, an arsenal of TVs allows sports fans to keep track of their favorite teams. A kiddie corner entertains little ones, while parents can enjoy the band du jour.
