Conecuh National Forest
Bicycling is permitted on the north loop of the Conecuh Trail and the 1.5-mile loop around Open Pond. Blue Lake Recreation Area, 13 miles southwest of Andalusia via US 29 and SR 137, offers hiking, picnicking, swimming, fishing and boating Apr.-Oct. Trail maps can be purchased from the district ranger's office in Andalusia. Open Pond Recreation Area open daily 7 a.m.-10 p.m., year-round. Blue Lake Recreation Area open daily 6 a.m.-10 p.m., Apr.-Oct. Day-use fee $3. The office in Andalusia is open Mon.-Fri. 8-4:30; closed federal holidays.
