Located in Cozumel, Discover Mexico Park Cozumel lies about seven minutes by road from the island’s downtown area. There is no public transportation on the island, but you can get there via taxi, rental car, scooter, or as part of a guided tour.
The park is busiest from December through April, when the weather tends to be sunny and warm. There are fewer crowds during hurricane season (May through October), but be sure to check the weather for storms.
Don’t miss the Museum of Popular Arts, which houses local crafts. Take photos in front of the park’s many miniature structures, which all depict popular examples of Mexican architecture. You can also watch a video about the country’s culture and history, create alebrijes (Mexican handcrafts from Oaxaca), or peruse the souvenir store.
