It’s sort of like the LEGO movie, only real life—imagine someone took the toys of your childhood and turned them into a life-sized playground. Beyond fulfilling their LEGO dreams and meeting their favorite characters, kids (typically ages 3–10) can cycle through interactive, creative experiences, from theme-park rides and games to LEGO-building workshops, a LEGO factory tour, LEGO races, and even a LEGO replica of Kansas City.

LEGOLAND® is in downtown Kansas City, within the Crown Center District. Parking is available onsite—look for the retail parking garage on Grand Boulevard; with validation, you can park for up to 5 hours for free. You could also hop on the free Kansas City Streetcar, getting off at Union Station. It’s about a 10-minute walk from there.
In short: Get there 15 minutes before your scheduled ticket time. LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Kansas City has instituted a guest cap, meaning only a certain number of visitors are allowed inside at any given time to improve the experience. That also means only a select number of tickets are available for each time slot—book yours in advance via the website.
In addition to children needing to be accompanied by adults at LEGOLAND® Kansas City, adults need to be accompanied by children—in this case, that’s defined as someone 17 and younger.
