The room was clean and spacious, and the staff, for the most part, were wonderful to deal with. (more about that in a moment). A special shout-out to Michelle at the front desk (second shift), who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued. Downsides: the place could use a make-over. The carpet on the stairs and in the hallway was worn and soiled, the ice maker on the second floor was out of order for our entire visit, as was the laundry room . The breakfast room was, for the most part, well-stocked, if a little limited in the selections. The fresh fruit selection, in particular, could use some attention. A couple mornings, the bananas were inedible. And one final peeve - every evening, we had to ask for additional hand towels. The housekeeping staff kept us well-stocked with bath towels and wash cloths, but every day, only left one hand towel. This is where Michelle and I got acquainted, and the way she handled it is why my ratings are as high as they are.
