The staff at this hotel are beyond nice! If you have the pleasure to meet Chef Ralph you are in for treat. He is the nicest most personable person we met on our trip. Going out of his way to pack us some to go food because we were headed out into bad weather. I would come back just for the people.

This was a 2 night stopover, in order to ride the D&SNGRR train. We pulled in Friday late afternoon, were welcomed by SARAH at the desk, who was very competent, welcoming, and eager to please. We found the room to be very comfortable, with a large bathroom (handicapped unit, which we didn't need, but probably got because of our request for a tub). Sleep was great, and CHEF RALPH welcomed us to an excellent breakfast. SARAH welcomed us back after the train ride, we slept well again, and CHEF RALPH personally served us our breakfast, a bit AFTER the 9:00 a.m. closing time. 12 days (and 10 different rooms) into a 17 day road trip, this was the best so far, and we've had some other very nice lodging. We'll try Fairfield again!
