The property is convenient to the Tacoma Dome, downtown museums and within walking distance to several great restaurants. Most guest rooms are on the larger size with a comfortable couch. Smoke free premises. 163 units, some two bedrooms. 8 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

The smoke detector in my room malfunctioned at 2 AM, after 2 hours of waiting, I was about to call the fire department to come and look at the system when a staff member finally came and told me I'd have to move to a different room because they didn't have any 9V batteries... I had to pack up all my stuff and move to a different room on a different floor at 5 AM after sitting in a room with a loud chirp every 38 seconds. I was promised a discount but did not receive one, charged full price. I can't believe that such a large operator of hotels didn't have a 9V battery on hand. The room I was moved into also had a malfunctioning smoke detector (with a plastic bag covering it, indicating the previous guest had smoked in the room) but at least this one wasn't chirping every 38 seconds. Parking garage was safe considering the Tacoma location. Continental breakfast was okay, mislabeled items and the pancake machine was out of batter even through I was the first and only person in there.
