Kayenta Monument Valley Inn

The room was clean, the water in the shower was not hot but only warm, the bed was good. The place was good for a jumping off point to Arches National Park.

Very difficult yo get water hot enough to wash your face or take a shower. ????? Pillows were small and not at all comfortable when we arrived. When we called the office to ask for more, we were told that there were no additional ones available. Somehow, 2 more arrived and were a little better than the original ones. Most hotel rooms now have small refrigerators and Keurig coffeemakers. Even shower soap and shampoo were missing. Really??? Considering the top dollar coat for this room, we were not really comfortable here because the accommodations seemed outdated and cheap.

Staff was friendly, but the hotel really needs some updates. The first room we were in seemed dark and dingy, and had a nonfunctional AC unit, nor did the phone work. I used my cell phone to contact the front desk to request another room which they accommodated immediately. The floor lamp looked as though it would fall over if touched, so we steered clear of it. There may have been one, but I could not find the elevator, and learned the next morning that the ice machine was located in the main building, a trivial issue, but not very convenient to rooms located on the second floor across the property from it.
