La Quinta Inn & Suites

The hotel room was filthy - purple liquid (yogurt?) on the bathroom door jamb, shoe print on the bedspread, crumbs all over the carpet, black marks on the wall, spots across the bathroom counter. One of the elevators was broken. Poor air circulation. I asked for a room change and was granted one, but I was reluctant to stay. If it hadn’t been midnight, I would have left.

Nobody at check in desk upon arrival for more than 10 minutes She finally arrived from the outside of the hotel. She was walking her dog. Which was also behind the front desk. . Room was big but dirty. At checkout same issue no one at the desk for more than 15 minutes. Many guest upset that no one was at the desk to checkout. Went to breakfast and that was a nightmare. The attendant who was there replenishing food was very abrupt and loud. She was rude and scary. Very pushy. No smiles or very helpful. We didn’t have hot water in the morning to take a shower. When the desk agent finally arrived at the desk I complained about the hot water problem. She said she had to reset something and it’s should be fixed now. That didn’t help me since we were checking out and had to leave. she never apologized or offered and sympathy for the problem. She was more interested in writing on her clipboard and didn’t really care. I believe there was a tour bus if guest that was checking out and the staff was more concerned with them than the regular guest. Both desk agents were retrieving luggage and obviously were not staffed accordingly for their arrival and departure. Poorly managed property.

Noisy at night. No onsite maintenance person

Staff was excellent and very accommodating when we hit a turkey and had to get a new windshield. They suggested places to eat, extended our stay an extra day and even gave us a ride when our car was ready. Great place to stay with a dog!
