This historic hotel is the tallest building downtown. Its warm and welcoming ambience is topped only by its grand view of the bay from the 10th-floor lounge, which is very popular at sunset. Rooms in the west wing provide a tad more space than those in the main tower; all feature padded headboards, pod-style coffeemakers and modern furnishings. The 9th floor suites include large private balconies. Smoke free premises. 140 units. 4-10 stories, interior corridors.
