thanks for asking, I found not stay there, The hotel was not very clean, It smelled like old carpet and the vacuum cleaner was at the front door with the cord out (possible trip hazard) and there was a moth on the sofa in the lounge area that I hit with my foot to remove it. my room was on the second floor and they had no elevator which they did not reveal on their website, staff was not customer care trained. I knew it was a busy weekend because of the Furniture Market in High Point. I asked to be moved to the first floor they said they were booked. I then asked if I could see the room they allowed me to after I gave them my credit card to have on file. I checked the room to see if it was clean and it had not been vacuumed, there was an old mask on the floor. I did not wear a mask into the hotel thinking that it was a clean space. I asked for a refund of my monies and was told they could not refund my deposit. (However before I booked the website stated I could receive a refund on this reservation). I asked for a refund of all monies twice and was given a letter stating that I cancelled my reservation on April 21 -23 2023 but their letter did not give my reason for cancelling. I asked them would this remove all charges they said yes but did not put that in the letter. I went to the Fairfield Inn next door and thankfully they had an available room for one night. The Fairfield Inn was outstanding and updated clean and the customer care was superb, The desk clerk of the Fairfield Inn even found me another hotel for the 22nd of April 2023 to make my stay less stressful. I would remove the Quality Inn hotel from your recommendations list. They have one objective and that is to get money. Customer Care is not a part of their plan at all. I have call Clarion Hotels complaint line and they said it was not up to them but the Quality Inn Manager to submit a request to refund my deposit. (I've never had a hotel to take the deposit the day of the reservation, that is normally a hold on the card.) I called on April 25th to talk to the General Manager of Quality Inn and she has not returned my call. My next course of action is to contact my Credit Call Company and file a complaint. Because it is showing that I stayed in two hotels on the same night. I hope that you may be able to help me with getting my deposit returned. Send a field agent to that location if need be.
