Quality Inn Miami Airport - Doral

The staff was great, the facilities could use some care!

I selected this hotel because AAA gave it good ratings and they offered a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. When I landed, I called the hotel repeatedly for a shuttle but no answer. I called 11 times and waited at the airport for over an hour before I just gave up and paid $40 for a taxi. I arrived to a long line of people in the lobby waiting to get checked in while one lone employee was working his hardest to accommodate everyone and the phones were ringing off the hook. I asked the gentleman if he was working alone and he said yes and this was his last day because he gave notice for resignation since management kept scheduling him for double shifts alone and he had no intention of attempting to answer the phones while checking in/out guests. I felt bad for him and didn't give him any trouble when the TV in my room didn't work, I was missing hand towels, and the tub was dirty and rusty. At least there was a free breakfast but the sausage was cold and scrambled eggs were powdered (I know eggs are expensive nowadays) overall it was a seedy hotel with old run down amenities and one overwork staff member who likely has resigned. And I had to pay for a $40 taxi since I never got the advertised free shuttle from the airport.
