Staybridge Suites Peoria Downtown

The hotel lobby was nice and clean. Beautifully decorated. The hallways were clean and the staff was nice, honest and kind. But there were some issues: The phones in the room did not work and there were two phones, so you had to walk down stairs to talk to the front desk. Saturday 5/13 drove to Peoria exhausted. Went to check in and was told to come back in two hours because rooms weren’t ready. They had 40 late checkouts. The lady at the desk said that housekeeping was going to have to bust their butts to get the rooms done. I should come back at 4 o’clock. I’m not sure if they change the sheets on the bed. Sunday 5/14 discovered that toilet wasn’t working properly around 1am. Went to report it later that morning around breakfast time, was told that yes they knew that toilet in 242 wasn’t working well and that they ordered new toilets but they have not come in. They have been putting drano down the toilet and if they had some, they would put some in there for me. So my thoughts were that they intentionally put me in a crappie room and knew about the issues. I asked her what if I needed to go poop? She offered no solution to the problem other than she would tell her general manager. When I went downstairs to report the toilet I also asked for new towels, washclothes and bathroom rugs. The lead housekeeping lady told me that I could leave my towels and wash clothes out and then she would bring me new ones. Someone came to pick up the old ones but never left any new ones. When I came back to the hotel. I found my room with no wash clothes, no towels, no hand towels or anything. I walked back down the stairs and saw the lead housekeeping lady and the 1st thing that she told me was that the front desk lady was missing. And they were trying to find her. I asked her where my towels were that she said she was going to bring me that morning. She got the key from the guy who was standing behind the desk and went to the room and bought back a towel set and I noticed that there were no wash clothes. I asked her if there were washclothes in the pile and she told me they didn’t have any they were out again offered no solution. There seemed to be a discount on my receipt at checkout, but I'm not sure. The toilet not working was the worse part though.
