Room had flies and bugs I had to kill
It was clean, but unfortunately smelled so strongly of cleaner my clothes and luggage smelled like cleaner for days.
I was beyond disappointed with this motel. I would give this motel negative stars, if possible. I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay, as it was just a stopover for one night. Although the motel was right off the highway, it was difficult to find, as it was located behind several fast-food restaurants without clear visibility or signage from the main road. The motel was old and dirty. I reserved a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room. The smell was so bad that I had to insist on another room, which was given to me. (The woman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating - the ONLY positive mention in this review.) The bathroom was filthy, hair in the shower, something sticky running down the shower tiles. I was mortified when I pulled back the sheets on the bed and found out they had not been changed, as there was a copious amount of hair on the sheets. As it was late and I was extremely tired, I ended up sleeping on top of the bed in my clothes with my shoes on. I used the bathroom only to urinate. It was a disgusting place to stay. I chose this motel because the reviews were average, and it was AAA approved. However, I would STRONGLY recommend AAA removing this motel from its roster of approved motels, as the reviews and AAA recommendation is totally misleading. Honestly, I would like my money back.
