I was flying in for a very short trip to celebrate my sister's nursing school graduation. My father and I live in different states, but decided to share a hotel for the quick trip. I intentionally placed his name as a traveler on the itinerary so that he could check in to the hotel if he arrived ahead of me. My flight was unfortunately delayed so I called directly to the hotel prior to flying out, to verify this would not effect my father checking in. I was told they did not see my father's name on the booking and since I booked through a third party vendor (AAA) they were not able to add him to the reservation. They advised I call AAA which I did and they were able to see on their end where is name was clearly on the reservation at booking. The AAA rep offered to call the hotel as well and follow-up. I received a follow-up call from the AAA rep as promised with the same disappointing news that the hotel would not be able to add my dad and the process would take greater than a day to do so (My trip was only 48hours). The AAA rep was apologetic and just as frustrated as I was. My father (77 years-old) was only going to be allowed to check his bag at the desk and wait for my arrival. Thankfully my sister was staying at a nearby hotel and he was able to hangout with her until my arrival. While the hotel aesthetically was nice...I feel more could have been done to accommodate us. Additionally the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Oh and at checkout, at 4:30am...we spent 10 minutes in line watching the staff member chat it up with the guest checking in.
Had a wonderful stay. Bartenders were the best. Room was very nice and spacious.
One of the more affordable, clean hotels and my go-to properties while in Vegas. It is slightly off the Strip and this is a good thing.
