Samuel Bellamy, a 25 year old English sailor in the Royal Navy, sailed to Cape Cod in 1715 where he met his true love, Maria Halle. Rejected by the wealthy Hallet family because he was fortuneless, he transformed to become the notorious pirate "Black Sam" Bellamy. "Black Sam" became filthy rich, but his ship, and crew sunk off the coast of Cape Cod in a massive storm. The pirate’s treasure was never found in the wreckage.
