DescriptionLompoc calls itself “The City of Arts and Flowers” because more than 60 murals adorn the walls of its old town buildings; subjects range from steelhead fishing to dancing cows. A brochure providing information about the murals as well as a detailed map showing their locations is available at the chamber of commerce office weekdays, as well as the Lompoc Museum, and local hotels and motels. A significant percentage of the nation's cut and seed flowers is grown here. The flower fields bloom May through August.
