The Kellogg area also is known for outdoor recreation, particularly its biking trails, which range from easy to “What was I thinking?” Accessible here is the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, a 72-mile paved path that runs from the Montana border to the Washington state line. Hardy cyclists also can take their bikes up the Silver Mountain Gondola to enjoy 40 miles of trails, including some that descend 3,000 feet.
