Recreational opportunities are available at nearby Lake Claiborne State Park. Lincoln Parish Park, 3.5 miles north on SR 33, is known for its challenging 10-mile mountain bicycle trail, complete with jumps. Swimming, fishing, boating and camping also are available; phone (318) 251-5156.

The Louisiana Peach Festival , held the fourth weekend in June, features antique cars, arts and crafts vendors, face painting, a peach baking/cooking contest, sports events, a parade and lots of music.
