Lincoln County Museum and Old Jail, 133 Federal St., is a fortresslike granite building used as a jail 1811-1913. Original graffiti from the 19th century still exists on cell walls. A brick jailer's home attached to the jail houses antiques and decorative arts as well as changing exhibits; phone (207) 882-6817.
