Fort Stockton

The Overland-Butterfield Stage Stop, 20 miles east on US 290 and I-10, is a reconstructed stage remount stand from the San Antonio-San Francisco route. Originally 1.5 miles southwest, the stand was dismantled and rebuilt on the present site using the original stones.
