Beautiful facility in the canyon close to golf course. Shuttle service to and from downtown/beach readily available. Restaurant on premise. Very quiet and lovely pool.
The room was very nice and comfortable. It had a balcony that overlooked a very large swimming pool. The location was excellent. It was in a canyon area, quiet and somewhat removed from the main attractions on the waterfront, yet not too far away. On the negative side, there is a restaurant immediate adjacent to the hotel that we wanted to patronize. We were told after we arrived at the hotel that the restaurant would open in a few minutes and that we could have lunch there. When I went to the restaurant, the door was locked. When I went back to the hotel, we were told that the hotel did not own the restaurant and they had no control over its operation. Several minutes later, we were told that the restaurnat was closed for the day. Why didn't the hotel know this, and why were we told that it would open in a few minutes when that information was absolutely incorrect? There is one other negative issue I want to address. When I asked for the location of an ATM, I was informed that the hotel did not have one and they didn't know who did? Why doesn't the hotel have an ATM, and alternatively, why don't they know who does?
Room was excellent, staff was very friendly. And the shuttle driver's very friendly. I would definitely stay their agai.
They only had one shuttle which made it hard. One time we had to wait 45 minutes. They only had one driver. The drivers were great, just the annoyance of the long wait time.
Catalina Canyon Inn was a great place. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff were very nice and helpful.
TV wasn’t working. Person at desk didn’t send anyone up to help until we called three times and had to go down to the desk. Phone blocked all night and was told that it couldn’t be fixed. Rude front desk workers. No racks for hanging clothes. Bathroom towels rough. For the amount paid for the room it was a disappointment.
