PHOTOGRAPHY

People in Ghent do not find being photographed in the street unusual. There are various art academies in the city and students regularly have projects to shoot portraits. This does not means that pushiness is appreciated, it is better to ask someone's permission before photographing him or her. The best light for photography is in November.

You can buy film at the pharmacy, in supermarkets, souvenir shops and, of course, in a camera shop or opticians.

WHEN DEPARTING

It is usual to confirm the return flight. Make it easy for yourself and do it on arrival.

If you arrive at the airport less than an hour and a half before your flight your seat may have been sold.

Taxis as well as trains go to the airport from Ghent. It is better to book one, on 09-2521832. Prices are reasonable.
