Central Lyon is well served by an extensive bus, trolley bus, tram and subway (metro) system. The subway runs daily 5 a.m.- 12:15 a.m. and is easy to use. You can pick up subway, bus and tram maps from station service booths and tourist offices. Subway stations are marked with an “M” on the city map. Tickets, available singly (valid for one or two hours' travel) or in carnets (books) of 10, are interchangeable between the metro, bus and tram systems.
