Subway Art Subway art in Stockholm is not freelance graffiti but spectacular and eclectic art. When the Stockolm Tunnelbana was built in the late 1940s an inspired decision was made to decorate each station with individual artworks. T-Centralen, the hub of the system, has the most, with examples ranging from terrazzo sofas to wrought-iron gates and ceramic figures on a white-stone background. Visit the Blue Line's amazing Kungsträdgården station; not only is it enormously deep, but it has outstanding sculptures.
