These pleasant gardens present one refuge, with their shady walks and plenty of benches on which to sit and read a paper. You might also be able to enjoy the sound of songbirds in the spring. The best time to see birds is from approximately March until late June, when the city's nesting residents are joined by migrating species such as swifts. The birds are most active in the early mornings and again in the evenings when the heat of the afternoon has gone.
