USEFUL WORDS AND PHRASES
It is not easy to reproduce the guttural sounds that make up the Dutch language. There are many similarities between German
and Dutch, although the Dutch go to great lengths to point out the differences. English is spoken fluently by a large proportion
of the population, who learn foreign languages from an early age. Double consonants keep their separate sounds: for instance,
k and n together are never pronounced as in the English “know.”
Dutch pronunciation is similar to English, with some variations:
