Behind the main building is a lovely yard with a huge tree in the center. On one side of the yard is a series of preserved domestic interiors from the 17th and 18th centuries and up to the 1950s. In keeping with Odense's charm, the museum has a wonderful air of quiet authenticity often absent in big-city institutions.
