ELECTRICITY
Austria has a 220-volt power supply. Electrical sockets take plugs with two round pins; American appliances will need a plug
adapter and will require a transformer if they do not have a dual-voltage facility.
RESTROOMS
Public restrooms (Toiletten/WC) are generally easy to find and immaculately clean. A small charge is levied.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Magnificent and varied subject matter awaits the photographer in Austria. Make sure you choose a perspective that will do
justice to the architectural masterpieces and narrow city lanes. Away from the city, the Alpine peaks give enormous scope
for landscape photography, and the light is generally very good.
