For the Western Isles, fly from Glasgow Airport. Trains Edinburgh has two mainline railway stations: Edinburgh Waverley and Edinburgh Haymarket. Most internal rail services are run by Scotrail. Buses Coaches arrive in Edinburgh from England, Wales and all over Scotland at the St Andrew Square Bus Station; National Express (Phone: 0990 80 80 80) serving English destinations and Scottish Citylink (Phone: 0990 50 50 50) Scottish. Other Scottish bus companies also operate into the terminal, where there is an information office. Boat Trips The Maid of the Forth leaves daily from Hawes Pier, South Queensferry, sailing beneath the Forth Rail Bridge to Inchcolm Island between Easter and October (Phone: 0131 331 4857). From North Berwick, the Sula sails 2 to 4 times daily to the Bass Rock between Easter and September (Phone: 01620 892838). Urban Transport Pay on boarding, making sure you have the correct fare.
