ELECTRICITY
Norway has a 220-volt power supply. Electrical sockets take plugs with two round pins; American appliances will need a plug
adapter and will require a transformer if they do not have a dual-voltage facility.
RESTROOMS
Public restrooms (toaletter) are easy to find. Facilities are separate for men (herrer) and women (damer), and
are identified by symbols or a “WC” sign. They are invariably clean and modern, and a small charge (usually KR3) may be made.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Spectacular shots are possible in fjord country if the weather is right (bear in mind that Norway is susceptible to poor light,
especially during the winter). Photography is not permitted in some museums and places of historic interest - check before
taking pictures. Film and camera batteries are readily available in towns.
