TRAIN (comboios)
The Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses (CP) operates three types of service: Inter-regional and Intercidade (which both stop at most stations) and Rapido (express between Lisbon and Porto). For information PHONE: 808 208 208 (national toll number).

BUS (autocarros)
Bus services have been privatized and several companies now cover Portugal. Eva runs services in the Algarve and the south with services into Spain(PHONE: 289 89 97 40); Rede Expressos covers much of the country (PHONE: 21 358 1460); Rodest covers Lisbon to Fátima (PHONE: 21 751 1600); and Rodenorte covers north into Lisbon (PHONE: 25 934 0710).

FERRY (barcos)
Ferries cross the Rio Tejo from Lisbon to the suburb of Cacilhas from Cais da Alfândega (Terreiro do Paço) or from Cais de Sodré. From Setúbal ferries cross the Rio Sado to the Tróia peninsula. Tickets can be bought at the boat stations' ticket offices.
