Tall Ship Manitou is docked at 13258 S. West Bay Shore Dr. (SR 22) at Discovery Center Great Lakes; the office is across the street from the Tall Ship Dock. The vessel, which can hold 59 passengers, is a replica of the types of cargo schooners that sailed the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean in the 19th century. Two-hour trips explore the lower West Grand Traverse Bay. The crew invites passengers to help with raising the sails. Dinner is served on the evening cruise. Several specialty cruises also are offered. Private charters on the yacht Scout are offered for up to six passengers. Guided tours are available.
