Lace, Chocolate and Music Between Noordzandstraat and Zuidzandstraat lies Zilverpand, a complex of 50 stores, many of them stylish fashion boutiques. If you like lace, do not miss the Gruuthuse lace shop on the Dijver for authentic work, or the many lace shops on Wollestraat, the street running south from the Markt. For antiques and craft shops, Mariastraat running south from Simon Stevinplein on Steenstraat is the place; and for mouth-watering chocolatiers, try Pralinette at Wollestraat 31B, or Godiva at Zuidzandstraat 36. At night, Bruges lights up spectacularly. The buildings in the Markt and elsewhere are illuminated, and there is plenty to do.
