Vigelandsparken

Vigelandsparken (Vigeland Park) is a memorial to Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), and a celebration of the human body. The centerpiece of around 200 life-size sculptures is the famous Monolitten (Monolith), a tall granite column composed of writhing human figures struggling upward. The park lies within the larger Frogner Park, near to central Oslo. The Vigeland-museet (Vigeland Musem) lies just outside of Frogner Park.
