Campground Overview

Big Fish at Wedowee is a Family RV Park approximately one mile from Fosters Bridge Boat Ramp at Lake Wedowee, Alabama. Nestled in a beautiful wooded setting just outside Lineville, Alabama. Easy to access with  paved roads all the way to the entrance of the campgroundBig Fish at Wedowee RV Park is excited to offer NIGHTLY site rental. Yes, you heard that right, we are offering nightly rentals at Lake Wedowee!   We are a new campground that is currently still under development, We will be adding and upgrading different aspects of the park as we progress. We are working hard to make this a family-friendly and fun space at Lake Wedowee. We are now taking limited reservations for Phase 1,  lots 1-11 for the summer of 2023. The park offers a friendly environment where families can feel safe and right at home. Sites 1-11 are back-in sites that offer full water and sewer hookups catering to RVs up to 45 feet, with boat dock access a mile down the road, Big Fish at Wedowee is a perfect area for dog walking, biking, sporting activities, or taking a nightly stroll. We are currently working on developing phase 2 and the park amenities with the hope that both will be open by the Spring of 2024.

Check In

Check In Time: 2PM | We offer self-check-in only, please confirm your site on your reservation and proceed directly to that site when you arrive. If arriving later than 7 pm, please let the office know ahead of time. No check-ins will be permitted after 8 pm due to safety. We do allow early check-ins if the site is empty but the park manager may not have time to fully clean the lot if you check in early.

Rules

Golf Carts/ATVs

No one under the age of 16, without a driver's license, is allowed to operate a motorized vehicle on our property. We DO NOT allow 4 Wheelers. No golf cart or ATV is allowed to be in ANY grassy area. Golf Carts and ATVs must be registered at the office with proof of insurance

Big Fish at Wedowee RV Park, Inc. nor its management, assumes any responsibility for accidents, injury, or losses due to any cause. Every guest is responsible for their own person and own insurance.

Freezing Temperatures

If temperatures drop below freezing, water spigots will be turned off to prevent bursting.

* Speed Limit is 10 MPH

Please Note

Guests will be asked to vacate their site if their dogs disturb other guests. Park management reserves the right to prohibit any dogs on the premises that may pose a risk to guests or staff, or has a history of causing trouble. Extra fees will be assessed when extra cleaning is required or if there is damage to park property. Park management will assess damage fees based on materials and labor required to make necessary repairs. Kennels are NOT provided. Do not leave pets unattended in vehicles.

Mail

We recommend obtaining a PO BOX from the most convenient post office in Linville or Wedowee. Having mail sent to the campground automatically releases Big Fish at Wedowee RV Park Inc from any and ALL liability associated with your mail or package deliveries. No member of management or employee may sign for any package.

Boats and Trailers

We do not allow Boats and Trailers to be parked at your campsite. There is a designated parking area for boats. Please see camp host for more information.

Extra Vehicles

Boats, Go karts, Trailers, etc are considered extra vehicles.

* Service animals should be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless such devices interfere with the service animal’s work, or if the visitor’s disability prevents the use of these devices. In that case, the visitor must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls.

* Service animals in a working capacity are allowed in all areas of the park and overnight accommodations when accompanied by a visitor with a disability; and,

* Fireworks are NOT permitted at any time.

Service Animal Policy

Big Fish at Wedowee RV Park, Inc. welcomes visitors with service animals. Service animals are “dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities,” according to the Revised Americans with Disabilities Act Service Animal Requirements. * Service animals in a working capacity are allowed in all areas of the park and overnight accommodations when accompanied by a visitor with a disability; and, Service animals should be harnessed, leashed or tethered unless such devices interfere with the service animal’s work, or if the visitor’s disability prevents the use of these devices. In that case, the visitor must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls.

Pets

Dogs MUST be on a 6-foot leash at all times when outdoors. Pets cannot be left unattended except for the inside of the camper RV. Dogs MUST be supervised at all times when on Big Fish at Wedowee RV Property. Dogs may not be tied up to trees, fences, or anchored to the ground. Guests are required to clean up after their dogs. Disruptive or aggressive pets will not be permitted. Management reserves the right to refuse any animal it deems dangerous, disruptive, or a threat to other visitors or dogs. Dogs cannot weigh more than 50 pounds. Dogs cannot be kenneled outside at night during quite hours. Guests will be asked to vacate their site if their dogs disturb other guests. Parking & Extra Vehicles

* Parking is available in the driveway of your campsite. Boat parking is permitted at your campsite as long as there is space in your designated area on the gravel. Please contact us for overflow boat parking. Please contact us for overflow parking or boat parking. Absolutely NO PARKING in ANY grassy area. No parking in any other open campsite or roadway. Boats, Trailers, Golf Carts, etc are considered extra vehicles. No one under the age of 16, without a driver's license, is allowed to operate a motorized vehicle on our property. Quiet Hours

10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Please be considerate of others. Generators are not allowed. No disorderly conduct will be tolerated. If the situation arises, management reserves the right to deny the remainder of the stay without a refund.

Intoxicants

Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited, except in your designated campsite. Visitors shall not be or become intoxicated while within any public area of the campground. Public drunkenness or disorderly conduct will not be permitted. Under-age drinking is unlawful and will NOT be permitted at any time.

Weapons

Bows and arrows, explosives, fireworks, slingshots, fishing spears or any device that discharges projectiles by any means is prohibited

Campfires & Fireworks

* Campfires are permitted, however, All fires must be contained in the group fire pit and are the responsibility of the registered guest. **Fireworks are NOT permitted at any time.

Garbage

DO NOT LEAVE BAGGED GARBAGE OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAMPER. A Dumpster is provided for your use at the entrance/exit to the park. No garbage is allowed in the fire pits. Cigarette butts are not to be thrown on the ground but disposed of properly. There will be a $35 cleaning fee if we have to clean out a fire pit, clean cigarette butts, trash on your site, or pick up doggie poo.

Campground Speed Limit

Campground Speed Limit is 10 MPH. Please watch for children and other campers.

Safety & Guest

* We are a family-friendly campground and your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Guests are permitted from 8 am to 8 pm. All guests must register themselves and ANY guests visiting. All guests over the age of 18 will have to provide identification and the campsite that they will be visiting. No more than 8 people shall be on a campsite. A maximum of 2 motor vehicles per site. Guest parking will be provided. Management reserves the right to deny registration of any person entering the property at any time. The person reserving the campsite is responsible for their guests.

Bad Weather

Guests are responsible for being weather-aware and taking necessary precautions in the event of severe weather. Big Fish at Wedowee RV Park, Inc is not responsible for limbs or debris causing damage to campers. All rented sites must be kept neat and clean, as well as free of clutter, at all times in the event of an emergency.
