Campground Overview

At Lake Genero you can take in nature as you see bald eagles nesting and flying above. We have many walks of wildlife on our property. We allow fishing, camping, private events and a serene environment. We have 44 acres of wooded area and a 7 acre lake. Enjoy a our views and have a picnic or make campfire at your site. We have restrooms and showers, volleyball net and community bonfire area. Extra amenities include: boating, hammock rentals, yard games and firewood.

Rules

DAMAGES

Your credit card will be charged for SEWER SPILLS, DAMAGES to Park Property, and Picking up Pet Waste, left on your site.

LOCKING UP VALUABLES

Lock bikes and other valuables up! Lake Genero will not be responsible for any loss caused by fire, theft, vandalism, natural happenings, or accidents. Individuals should carry personal insurance to cover any such loss. When away from your site or RV, please secure and lock your vehicle. Items such as bicycles and scooters should be locked up or secured. Additionally, any personal property and/or valuables left after checkout will be considered abandoned, and Lake Genero may dispose of it without notice.

ALCOHOL, TOBACCO & MARIJUANA USE

The consumption of alcohol is permitted. You may drink on Lake Genero grounds as long as you do not carry your beverage in a glass container. Do not leave alcohol unattended overnight or on your table. Tobacco use should not be in any public space. Marijuana users should follow the appropriate laws and should not be used in public areas. No tobacco or marijuana use in any of our cabins, including enclosed porches. Do not throw your tobacco butts on the ground. Please be courteous of neighbors not desiring exposure to dangerous secondhand smoke. Tobacco use should not be in any public space. Pavilion

Pavilion rentals and exclusive events that cause us to give exclusivity to a guest require 90 days cancellation notice otherwise they forfeit their payment. No-Show (for pavilion bookings) Parties who have not shown up before 1 hour prior to their departure time will forfeit their spot and not be refunded.

Fire Pits & BARBEQUES

FIRE PITS: Only provided fire rings are to be used for a campfire, No exceptions. You may use fire logs (such as Duraflame) or dead wood on the ground or a manufactured propane fire pit for a campfire. The flames should not be any higher than 3 feet in height. BARBEQUES: Propane and charcoal briquettes are the only fuel permitted. Do not use any wood or other material that may spark. Please fully extinguish hot coals before disposing of them. Do not set a barbeque on the park table.

COURTESIES AND QUIET HOURS

Aside from special events held by the park & park staff, daytime courtesies include not blocking off streets with games, keeping music at a reasonable volume, and keeping your personal property on your site only. Please observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM DAILY. It simply means being considerate of your fellow campers. If a guest is not abiding by the quiet hours rule, the host will give the guest(s) one warning. If the guest or guests do not quiet down, their stay may be terminated, and the offending guest(s) will be escorted out of the park by local authorities or authorized parties.

Fishing/Boating/Swimming

Fishing is allowed for registered guests only. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests are responsible to abide by local and state fishing and gaming regulations. Non-motarized boats are allowed for registered guests only. Guests must wear a life jacket and understand there is no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is permitted and guests are responsible for their own safety.

GENERAL

Speed limit on park streets is 10mph. • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM DAILY. • Site occupancy is 1 RV or tent depending on your booking, 1 vehicle, maximum of 6 people

DRONES

Guest use of drones is not permitted to capture footage of other campsites; only public areas are allowed to be filmed with a drone during regular day time hours only. Any complaint of a drone nuisance will result in one warning and after that ejection from Lake Genero.

Pet Policies

Pets are welcome when quiet and attended. Please follow these simple guidelines to ensure your pet’s stay is enjoyable for all. • Up to two (2) pets are allowed per site. • Pets are not permitted in any glamping site. Anyone walking a pet is required to clean up after them. A $25 fee will be assessed to any guests who fail to clean up after pets in their party. • Pets, when outside and RV, must always be kept on a 6’ or shorter leash and under control. • Aggressive and uncontrolled pets will not be allowed to remain at Lake Genero. • Barking dogs that disturb other guests are considered a nuisance, and management reserves the right to require the party to leave in case of such nuisance, and no refunds will be given. • Pet fences may only be temporary, no more than 30 inches tall, and no more than 10 feet in length. • Pets may not be tied up and left unattended outside at any time, including in a pet enclosure. • Pets are not allowed in the bathrooms nor on any other site other than the one on which you are staying. • Cats are not permitted to roam the park freely.

TRASH

Please dispose of all trash in the dumpster at the front of the property closest to Hamlin Highway (currently in front of Rif's Place) and keep your site clean and free of rubbish and debris. Do not dump garbage from outside the campsite here. (Please do not use our facilities to clean out your car)
