Campground Overview

Located in Richland Center, Wisconsin, Richland County Fairgrounds offers 20/30/50 amp electric service sites along with tent sites for those seeking a more traditional experience. There are around 200 sites at this facility, so if you're looking for a large group booking, please call the office at 608.647.6859 or 608.553.2813. 

One may take advantage of the many amenities offered that include restroom and shower facilities, picnic tables, trash services, fire pits, picnic areas and a pet friendly environment. Enjoy a day outdoors soaking up some sun while enjoying some time kayaking, outdoor swimming at our local pool, scenic drives, tubing, tennis and stargazing to name a few. Whether its for a night or two, we hope to see you soon!

We do not have a dump station on site but it's located at 590 South Orange Street in Richland Center

Rules

Motor Vehicle, Golf Cart and ATV/UTV

The speed limit is 5MPH for ALL vehicles. Personal golf cart for transportation purposes, if needed, on the grounds is allowed as long as proof of insurance is provided to the office with a valid state-issued drivers license. ATV/UTV's are allowed on the grounds but not for personal use. You may use the grounds as a link to the local trails, however, we don’t allow driving them through-out the grounds just for fun. Please be respectful of these rules so no parties are injured.

Children

You are responsible for the supervision of your children. Please remember, there is traffic in an out of the grounds.

Woven RV Mats

Woven RV Mats are acceptable. Please do not use indoor/outdoor carpet since it will kill the grass.

Motorcycles

Are permitted and must be operated in a quiet and acceptable manner.

Fireworks

Fireworks are illegal in Wisconsin and subject to a fine and eviction. Also, Chinese lanterns, roman candles and sparklers are not permitted.

Picnic Tables

Picnic Tables are available for use, upon request. We’d prefer you request this at the time of reservation but understand the need for additional tables. Please contact of office with your request.

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption is at your campsite and may not be served to minors. No glass containers.

Additional Parking

Please contact the office if you need additional parking outside of your campsite. There is no charge.

Campfires/Firewood

No burning on the ground. Contrary to popular belief, bottles & cans do not burn well, please only burn wood. All fires must be in a raised fire pit and are available at the office. Please put your fire out and do not leave unattended. Firewood may be purchased in town.

Pet Policy- ALWAYS ON A LEASH

Our facility is PET-FRIENDLY and we welcome campers who travel and share camping with their family pet. To ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, it is important that you abide by the following pet policy: 1. When registering, please let us know if you may have or will be bringing any pets camping with you. Please be prepared to show proof of valid rabies vaccination certificate or tags dated for the current year. 2. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 8 feet at all times. 3. Pet droppings are the responsibility of the pet owner. Please clean up after and dispose of pet waste in the campground containers. 4. Pets should not be left unattended at a campsite. If your pet creates a disturbance or is a nuisance to other campers, you may be asked to leave the campground. Vicious dogs must be removed from the campground by the owner or animal control. In extreme cases, a pet may be removed by the Richland County Animal Control at the owner’s expense. 5. Pets are not permitted in barns, buildings, office or restrooms. 6. Visitors of guests should not bring pets into the campground. 7. Any animal attack or bite will be reported to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The pet’s owner is responsible for any expenses and liability related to a pet attack. We hope you and your pet have wonderful time at our campground. We encourage you to take advantage of the fenced in dog park located up the road from our location.

Smoking

Our grounds are not an ashtray. Please put them in the fire pit or in an ash tray you have in your possession. If you toss them at the fire pit an your aim is off

Privacy

Please do not walk through sites, stay on the roads and be considerate of others.

Trash & Recycling

There is a "camper" dumpster on site as well as a bin for recycling aluminum and plastic. Please use this.

Clean your Site

Please remove all trash and animal waste from your site before leaving. A dumpster is located on the grounds.
