Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites

This is a quaint motel court. It is large enough to have and maintain amenities like a nice fitness room, pool, and dog park area. They also have a nice hot breakfast room each morning. The clean room was large enough for us to move comfortably. Parking is directly in front of each room. We did not hear any noises from neighboring rooms. Also the window curtains and blinds fully block outside light. The room also had the usual amenities of fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a separate place to eat. The room was very clean. The motel is located within walking distance of several restaurants and fast-food establishments. It was only a 9 minute drive to campus. Most importantly the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we come to visit our student.

Clean, well-maintained, and nicely organized room, but small--fine for 2 people for a single night's stay along the way (very conveniently located just off I-40 on old Route 66), but not sure how it would work for a longer stay. Maybe other rooms are larger? Breakfast provided in a separate building with plenty of seating, included eggs and sausage the morning we were there, so definitely not just a cold continental breakfast.

The staff was very nice, but the hotel was old and needed updating. Our room had a funny smell to it, the closet door was off its track, and the room overall was not very comfortable.

Small rooms. Rooms seemed like there was sort of updated with furniture but needs other updates. There was a lot of construction happening by the pool area which was across the parking lot. So we didn't visit the pool. It was small. We appreciated the continental breakfast that was included. The ladies at the front desk were very kind.
