Holiday Inn Express Glenwood Springs

I booked one night here in February. My room was right off the main lobby. Location was great as I came soley to visit iron mountain and hike hanging lake. The hotel and experience would have been fine, however, I was awoke at 12:30 am to water pouring from a crack in the ceiling and onto the carpet. I moved my belongings to make sure they didn’t get wet and waited to see if it would stop or get worse. It being almost 1am and having to get up early, the last thing I wanted to do was switch rooms in the middle of the night if I absolutely didnt have to. After about 15 mins it’d completely stopped so I went back to sleep. I’d recordered the incident and told the front desk after checkout. They said “sorry” and that was it. Since I booked through AAA, I figured I would need to go through them to try and get at least a partial refund. I’m not spending $300 a night for a room with water pouring from the ceiling! Unfortunately, it’s been over 2 weeks and while AAA has contacted the hotel multiple times, they haven’t returned any calls or emails to the agent. I feel like this was plenty of time for them to try and rectify the situation, which would have changed my review. But now they’re just ignoring use

Very clean, well arranged rooms. Would stay there again.

It was just OK. Breakfast was pretty bad — cold scrambled eggs, worst coffee I ever tasted. I prefer more comfortable beds and glasses in the room instead of disposable cups.
