Musée Gadagne

The Musée Gadagne (Gadagen Museum) comprises two museums, the Musée Historique de Lyon (Lyon Historical Museum) and the Musée International de la Marionnette (International Puppet Museum), housed in one of Old Lyon's stateliest Renaissance mansions, the 15th-century Hôtel de Gadagne. The first museum contains a treasure trove of objects tracing Lyon's history from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Guignol, the famous French puppet, hails from Lyon and is loved all over France for his wit, sarcasm and nagging wife; you can see Guignol, plus a worldwide cast of friends, in the charming puppet museum.
