Musée de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame
The Musée de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame (Museum of the Works of Our Lady) occupies a building used from the 14th to 16th centuries
for cathedral maintenance. In addition to the rambling warren of fine rooms and staircases, there are courtyards, one of which
is planted with medicinal herbs and plants similar to a 13th-century garden. Some of the cathedral's most precious sculptures
are kept here, giving the public a chance to admire the elegance of 14th-century Gothic sculpture. The streamlined Seven Wise
Virgins is a highlight, as is the nearby group of singularly unintimidating lions from the cathedral's main facade.
