About BarnardA town of summer cottages and winter hideaways, Barnard has been home to some of the state's most elite citizens. Journalist Dorothy Thompson and her husband, novelist Sinclair Lewis, lived at their picturesque white frame house, Twin Farms, during the 1930s. Thompson was one of the few female correspondents during World War II. She is buried in Village Cemetery on North Road.
